COVID-19 made online learning a necessity. We saw, immediately, that Dohn students lacked access to home computers and internet access. With 98% of our Black and Brown students living at or below the poverty line, we had to act quickly to meet the need for online learning.
When we assessed the technology access costs, the $159,500.00 price tag seemed way out of our reach. We asked anyway, and the strong community that cares about and supports Dohn Community High School stepped up.
This campaign has generated an astounding $198,250.00 thanks to:
- An exceptionally generous family of donors who care deeply about what happens to Cincinnati’s vulnerable youth
- Financial support from Greater Cincinnati Foundation and United Way of Greater Cincinnati’s COVID-19 Regional Response Fund (read more here)
- Kind and caring generosity of many of Dohn’s supporters
This campaign closes June 30, 2020. If you would like to be part of this goodwill train, donate here. Help us reach $200,000!

To everyone who has donated to the campaign, thank you! One of our Board members noted that this level of donor support levels the playing field for our school and our students. We can hardly wait to share impact stories and photos in future newsletters!
